Planet in conjunction page #1

THESE ARE (VERY) OLD SLIDE SCANS. SLIDES WILL BE RE-SCANNED, IMAGES ENLARGED AND NEW SLIDES SCANNED IN FUTURE.

Wide angle images of the moon and some bright planet(s) with scenery. Conjunction is always an eye catcher. In spring 2002 we had several planets nicely high on sky and as moon passed through them all once a month, there was plenty to see.
In early May we could witness the great conjunction of all 5 naked eye planets. Although visually the gathering was not too stunning, still, one did enjoy of the rarity of the sight. There are recordings on three evenings on the first two rows; on the second row there is also a recording of Saturn and moon on the 16th April and also a recording of the planets and moon on the 15th April. Planets and stars were given "extra kick" of light in PhotoShop to make them visible in these low resolution JPG-images.
On the bottom row "Saturn" near moon on the 1st of Dec; "Jupiter" is the very close encounter of the giant and the moon in the end of Dec 2002 (during the moon rise). The last image is Moon-Jupiter morning conjunction on 04Jan05.
