Images of starry sky using 50mm lens and drive. As with the fisheye most images with standard lens are pretty boring. It is only Milkyway with its red nebulas that provide motivation to use these lenses. Note in image tnc0551 faint greenish aurora in the horizon.
What fancies me in astrophotography is the wonder of getting samples from distant worlds: a photon from M31 travels a couple of million years and hits my 5mm pupil in the middle of nowhere; or hits my 50mm camera lens and a true sample is captured on the film! This is just incredible and wonderful, and I try to get excess amounts of these messengers - well over my share - by spending nights outdoors!
