In 2008 three consecutive nights had great NLCs. July 30/31 display was full of wonderful wave structures (shown on previous page), then (starting this page) in July 31/01 eye could rest on a bright band and billow display and on its reflection, and finally in Aug 01/02 Turku city was shadowed - and sky illuminated - by a nice layer of bands.
