Mirage in buildings et c., page #1

From my balcony I have had a good view to water towers and to high buildings. Perhaps once a year or so also the 'manmade' horizon is mangled by superior mirage. This and the next two pages show samples of this.

On the pages there are single images of different objects which are used also in composites. These composites include a reference picture. What really needs to be emphasized is that in each composite individual images are in register. I.e. bottom lines (usually) are in register and this way the true extent of the distortion is easy to see. Check on this page the water tower 'aLieto' and also the very last composite.
