Turku is not the place to observe nacreous clouds. Still, in Dec-Feb (after a strong low pressure has passed us in North) Föhn-winds from Norway (The Scandinavian Mountain Chain) occasionally create these pastell coloured clouds in the western parts of Finland. They are rarely very colourful but rather look clearly something anomalous (and they almost always give birth to strong early morning or late evening glows). Ordinary high clouds (cirrus clouds and contrails) are usually still in shadow (and perceived as blackish) while nacreous clouds shine with dazzling brightness.
